Child Contact Services
At TCHC Family, we provide a safe, welcoming environment where children can spend quality time with their family members or those important to them, especially during challenging times.
Our contact sessions are built around connection, safety, and support, ensuring every visit is positive and meaningful.
Assessments & Parenting
All reports are overseen by a qualified Social Worker, and additional professional assessments and parenting sessions can be delivered by an experienced Independent Social Worker (ISW).

At TCHC Family, we offer a range of professional assessment and parenting support options, tailored to meet each family’s needs.
Delivered by a qualified Independent Social Worker (ISW), these sessions are available on a group or one-to-one basis and can include:
- Parenting Assessments
- Risk Assessments
- Direct work
- Parenting classes
- Life story work

Best used by...
For families who do not require direct supervision.
Staff are not present within sight or sound during the session but are available to check in and offer assistance if needed. The attending adult remains fully responsible for the children.
Any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns will always be reported in line with our safeguarding policies.

💛 Supported Family Time
Includes:
- Initial visits for the family and child.
- Use of room, toys, and age-appropriate arts & crafts.
- Access to outdoor space.
- Staff support at the beginning, end, and handover (if required).
- Attendance log.
- Qualified staff available on request.
- Access to kitchen (on request).
Supervised
Best used by...
For children and families where supervision is required as part of a plan or assessment.
Our qualified staff observe, record, and report on each session to support the child’s ongoing care and development.
£79 per hour
💙 Supervised Family Time
Includes:
- Initial visits for the family and child
Use of room, toys, and age-appropriate activities. - Access to outdoor space and kitchen
Supervision by qualified staff (requirements agreed in contact plan). - Support with handovers.
- Attendance log.
- Detailed session report (reporting cost may vary depending on level of assessment required).
🚗 Transport can be arranged at an additional cost.
Room Only
Best used by...
A neutral, child-friendly space for professionals or families who need a private venue for family contact or child-focused meetings.
Ideal for contact sessions supervised externally; reviews, mediation, or family group conferences; parenting sessions or therapy, direct work or play-based sessions.
£40 per hour
