Information for families and professionals
NACCC Accredited
Information
We have information and leaflets for children and families when these are required
Family time or child contact services are there for children to maintain or re-establish contact with a parent, grandparent, sibling, other relative, or another person important in their life.
We understand that meeting in a centre can cause anxiety and there might be a lot of questions. We make sure everyone who uses our service, children, adults and professionals are offered an introductory visit to make sure they can see where they will be visiting and ask any questions they have.
More information can be accessed from NACCC
How to access our Centre?
Contact Us
Get in touch to let us know your requirements and how we can help, this is also a good opportunity to see if we have availability to meet your needs. If we can then we will send over a referral form and risk assessment to be completed
Referral stage
If we can accommodate your requirements for the days and times then the next step is the referral process. We will ask you to complete a referral form and risk assessment so that we can ensure the safety of everyone and make sure we are clear about any focus of the sessions.
We will also make sure that we can provide any support, advice or guidance as might be required to ensure that the session is positive.
Contact Plan
Once we have reviewed the information, if we can meet your needs we can set up the sessions. Where required we will create a contact plan that sets out the details of family time or contact, such as days/ times of sessions, transport arrangements and supervision arrangements.
For contact that does not need to be supervised we will devise a session plan which will set out the service we are providing.
Introductions
Once the contact or session plan has been agreed and authorised we will arrange introductions for children, their families and professionals so that they can get familiar with the centre, meet our staff, understand the rules and routines, sign any consent forms and ask any questions they may have.
